Antipa Minerals (AZY) has discovered new zones of gold at its Minyari Dome project in Western Australia’s Paterson Province.

Phase two greenfield drilling intersected thick zones of alteration, brecciation, veining and gold-copper mineralisation along 300 metres of strike at the Minyari North prospect.

Intersections at Minyari North included 28 metres at one gram per tonne (g/t) gold from 239 metres downhole and eight metres at 2.6 g/t gold, including one metre at 15.8 g/t gold.

Additionally, thick zones of alteration, veining and variable gold-copper mineralisation were intersected under shallow cover at the GEO-01 target.

Intersections here included 20 metres at 0.51 g/t gold from ten metres down-hole, including four metres at 1.46 g/t gold.

Antipa said the discovery at GEO-01 had extended the prospective Minyari Dome strike extent to 4.4 kilometres.

Follow-up drilling is now planned with the aim to deliver “significant” maiden mineral resource estimates in each area.

Shares in AZY are down 5 per cent trading at 1.9 cents at midday AEDT.
