Anson Resources (ASN) has applied to re-enter three wells at its Green River lithium project in the Paradox Basin, Utah.

The company has submitted a notice of intent to the US Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management for a resource definition drilling program at the project.

Subject to approval, ASN plans to undertake brine sampling and pump testing on targeted clastic zone horizons and Mississippian units at Green River.

Anson’s work to date has noted a number of geological features it deemed positive, and drilling records indicated brine flows to the surface from porous Mississippian units without pumping in some wells.

The drilling program is designed to support the conversion of the project’s exploration target to a Mineral Resource.

Drill pads remain in place from previous drilling, and the company said other drill pads only required re-establishing — meaning there would be minimal new ground disturbance.

This round of work will be undertaken in parallel with resource drilling in the western region of the company’s nearby Paradox project.

Shares in Anson Resources are down 5.68 per cent and trading at 20.8 cents at 12:19 pm AEDT.
