Based on the 74.4 year cycle I expect a slightly higher minimum than last year. The minimums may be around this level or slightly improved over the next 20 years before it makes the step up into the average as you see above. Just my readings from the Polaris Arctic Expeditions of the past post 1950s indicating how slushy the ice extent was for a long period before it picked up in thickness in late 6os.
