    Yemen drilling and testing update

Based on the drilling and testing results from Nabrajah-2, and latest processed version of the 2-D seismic section covering the Nabrajah structure, the oil reserves (p + p) at Qishn level is now estimated to about 20 million barrels. An early production field development plan is now under consideration with possible first oil as early as May 2005.
In Block 32 Tasour-13 came on stream with an initial production rate of 2 240 barrels of oil per day.

    Nabrajah, Block 43:

The test in the main Qishn reservoir in Nabrajah-2 produced about 379 barrels of oil and 7 020 barrels of water per day. The test results does not correspond to the evaluation of open hole logs, and the water production is therefore assumed to come from water bearing sands in the lower Qishn intervals, which is likely to be caused by leakage behind casing due to poor cement seal. As a consequence the test results do not represent the full oil production potential of the well.

The test did, however confirm movable hydrocarbons at the similar Qishn level as Nabrajah-1 which flowed about 1 973 barrels of oil and 375 barrels of water from the this section. This confirms the extension of the Nabrajah structure to the west, and proven + probable reserves for the Nabrajah structure are now estimated to ca. 20 million barrels of which DNO's pretax share is ca. 11 million barrels. This is about twice as much as previously reported.

DNO is currently preparing for an early production development scheme with possible first oil in May 2005, some 4-5 months earlier than previous plans. The field development plan is expected to be submitted to Yemen authorities for approval during the 4th Quarter of this year.

Further exploration and appraisal in Block 43 will be considered after the Nabrajah Field is on stream. DNO sees a potential for additional 10 - 20 million barrels at Qishn level combined from two identified structures in the Nabrajah area.

The above estimates of reserves and reserve potential do not include the hydrocarbon discovery in the basement section. As previously reported the basement test in Nabrajah-2 flowed a total equivalent hydrocarbon liquid production in excess of 3 000 barrels per day, combined of 313 barrels of condensate per day and 15.2 million standard cubic feet per day of gas (approximately 2 730 barrels of oil equivalents per day). Future wells in Block 43 will also be located to further appraise the basement hydrocarbon discovery.
