the IP model is Proving to be a very very lengthy process…
for example renesas signed a deal 3.5 years ago… they have not released their chip yet… they taped it out about 1.5 years ago then went quiet. Strange…
concerning for the short term that any company that signs a deal this year we likely won’t see a royalty until after 2027…
BRN need to be signing 10+ deals a year (average cost of the two licenses so far is $3m upfront) just to break even at current cash burn rate…
if royalties don’t kick in for another 3 years that sounds like a LOT of dilution via our loan sharks LDA and a LOT of on market selling.
