What is it about war that this type of animal behaviour always appears? Or should we ask, what it it about men that they make excuses for war so that they may indulge their dark desires?
Do these rapist/murderers not have daughters themselves? At least some of them? How can they brutalise a woman like that? I'm a man and I cannot imagine circumstances that would encourage me to behave like that. Can it be true that we may all be as brutal if the circumstances were right? I shudder to think that. But, frighteningly, it seems far to common during war that instead of protecting women, we become their worst nightmare.
