As a West Australian commuting for work in the NT, 14 day isolation is mandatory on return to WA.
The strict WA border control is being maintained because the Victorian powers that be and senior medical advisory staff have all failed in their respective duties and WA is protecting itself from the same.
Other states will follow suit and isolate themselves from the nations hotspot.
Some justify open borders on the relative difference between NSW and Victoria as yet showing no replication.
However the ineptness of control and decision making is at the core of the problem and the difference.
Freight and other services are still allowed however to traffic across borders and the risk of spread is still real for the rest of the country while the situation in Victoria is afoot and worsening.
At what point does this become not a State of Emergency but one of a state of National Emergency and the Federal powers bought to bear to take over the security. This is not an offer but a command for the Federal Police and Military aid sent in to enforce mandatory control and protect the Australian population from recalcitrant citizens.
The continued failure to act and enforce places every citizen at risk and further erodes the economy and future wealth creation in this country.
