If inflation keeps rising then the minimum wage will need to be adjusted up in future wage decisions. Keeping the minimum wage deliberately low as has been occurring consigns those workers to a life of poverty. We don't need that in Australia.
The Independent Fair Work Commission agreed with the new govt and increased the minimum wage, a fairer outcome than continuing to go backwards at a faster rate.
