I note some posters claim the govt has the levers to fix both the supply and cost issue.
Yet none have been able to outline how such levers would fix the here and now issues.
The legislative trigger that could be applied would not by law be effective until January next year so does not help the situation this winter. The Nationals Leader David Littleproud said as much on the Insiders program and suggested that the only way to go is to talk to the Gas companies to increase domestic supply. Insiders David Speers pointed out that's exactly what the Labor Govt is doing.
Amazing how the critics want the new govt to instantly fix the energy stuff ups of the previous govt that have been nine years in the making. Not a good way to achieve debating credibility.
