We all heard the concerns. It was an uproar. I was as furious as any. But it was eventually bedded with some sense of realism. Lingering upset was mostly political.
I say it would help Barrick because if you believe it would lower investment in iron and coal, which I personally don't, then that would lower the demand on operating and development resources and hence costs to other sectors of the industry.
As for the greens being able to reinstate projects that were made exempt in the final draft - I just say - yeah righto.
