I believe an opportunity exist to place a clear distinction of difference between the ALP and the Abbott Government.
Tony Abbott the current PM, has decreed that "religious freedom" to act on superstition and unreason take presidents over reason. The Law currently reflects this ideology.
Allowing animal torture, ease the insecurities of those with devout superstition is not a virtue I would expect Australia to hold.
I hope that you will push an ALP policy that removes the right to "religious freedoms" that cause harm. This would involve removing the allowance of Halal certifications.
