Many respected investigative journalists have summed up Tony Abbott's G20 forum to shirtfront Vladimir Putin as a myopic, cringeworthy and self-inflicted opportunity missed. One that cheated Australia out of a more mature and respected role in World affairs.
After Abbott's puerile pre G20 posturing his threats melted away to the point where he was even photographed cuddling koalas with his apparent now good mate, Vlad the Abbott-tamer. Meanwhile and after dominating APEC, US President Obama dominated Abbott's G20 forum, that despite Abbott's pitiful attempts to sideline climate change and the Ebola Crisis.
It appears Abbott's ongoing dreadful performance as PM has finally tested the support of his shock jock mate, Alan Jones. The comments below are from Dan Harrison's report in The Age online.
