In Qld the Labor party attempted to implement a new computer system to pay the people in the public health!
It was a disaster that cost the earth, and as far as I know maybe still being repaired!
So to build this system with ID voting, who is selected to accomplish it?
How does the electronics get supplied for voting day, where is it installed and where is stored until the next election?.
I would suggest the mobile phone as a source, but as I am in the middle of purchasing a new mobile from iinet, and at this point in time waited 7 days for the phone to be connected with Monday 5 pm being the 8th, I would say the mobile phone alternative is off the agenda. So no doubt there will be many sources of imput as suggested in the link below!!
Would an IT poster on HC be able to make a rough guess at the cost and the above questions please.
Finally if our legal system still has not got Craig Thompson behind bars!
Why would we think that a system of ID voting could be achieved in the space of 3 years?
