We had the Ken Henry report and only one recommendation adopted....mining tax.
Do we need another report that will largely be ignored?
Deficits predicted $143 billion this budget and $143 possibly next budget. Also this worry about government handouts finishing in September and a possibility of extending them.
We don't yet know the full cost of the takeup of government loans to business so really we should wait until the budget to see the cost to date and the Treasury estimates as to the next year.
