Abolish the TGA

The TGA licenses medicines for distribution in Australia.

New medicines mainly come from the USA or Europe. They are then investigated and licensed by the UK or US FDA.

There is then a delay while the Australians repeat the work of the British or US authorities. During this needless delay people may die.

We should accept medicines once they are approved by the UK or US authorities. We have no greater skill base than they do.

( A similar useless waste of time and money are "Australian Design Rules" for cars already approved in Europe or the US.)
