    I see what you are saying. The repayment of fees may be separate to any penalties applied so the amount is anyone's guess if they lose.

    These civil style cases in both the AAT and Federal court generally taken some time. The last AAT decision on this case took 6 weeks albeit the case was only partially heard because of a federal court challenge by Site (which they lost). That is the case that is now continuing in the AAT

    The Federal court challenge in the aforementioned paragraph was ajourned on the 26th July 2019 and the judgement was handed down on the 22nd November 2019 - That's almost 4 months for a 1 day case!

    I'd say 4 - 8 weeks on the AAT case and 4-6 months on the federal court case with the ACCC.

    Bare in mind these are fairly long written decisions which must be considered based on 2 weeks worth of evidence (for the ACCC case). The judges have reputations to uphold and must consider case-law etc in both the decision as well as penalties if applicable.
