    Indeed they do Pisces - but unfortunately its only the "high profile" horse deaths that get any publicity. The racing body was very keen to keep last year's Melbourne Cup death hushed up a bit. This year was a bit harder to cover up. Quote the 1 (or perhaps 2) from 250 today, as that's a "nice" figure. But pop in the deaths at barrier trials at dawn, away from the cameras. Pop in what happens to the horses when they stop making money for their owners.

    You'll see the post above about the billboard outside Flemington and the Industry head's abhorrence at the details of it being placed near their track. As I said earlier, I wonder what the official line is now - given its 2 years in a row for their premier event.

    Care to raise Jumps Racing as well - or will we keep that for a week or two until the next death or serious injury of an animal in that particular part of the "sport" pops up?
