I think they took a rest after the return from Adelaide and by the time they realised it was going to be a game it was too late. Also Switcowski and Frederick are important players to their structure and they were missing.
What i loved was the confidence the Eagles young guys gained from Yeo and Reid. Chesser, Maric, Ginbey, Long and Hough all played very well.
