That money of yours that goes into consolidated revenue over some four decades is being spent by the government of the day on other people’s pensions, defence, foreign aid, the health system, the education system etc, etc, etc.
And the pension you collect next week is being paid for by today’s workers, and works of future years / decades.
I’m no Labor supporter, but Superannuation was one of the great reforms by an Australian Government, ever. So credit where credit’s due.
