What are you selling and approx value? 2% on residential is reasonable sub $500k, over that I have had down to 1.5%, after all selling a property worth $500k or $1.5M still takes the same amount of work so why should an agent get paid more.
Put it too them this way-if a residential house attracts 2% on $500k they will get $10k. If you are selling something worth $1.5M I'd expect fees of around 1%...
