This from the guy that has basically stated the rules don't apply to him as he will just ignore them. At least these poor buggers didn't blatantly break them as it is clear that this is a very gray area. Having a look at the Tasmanian land tax rates (http://www.sro.tas.gov.au/landtax/rates) shows how it isn't worth investing in anything in Tasmania as they will rape you blindly with land tax. Most states at least have a decent level before land tax becomes applicable.
