It sounds like part of the issue with community opposition to Base Resources is related to radioactivity.
Mineral sands commonly contain monazite, a mineral that is radioactive. Communities hear the word radioactive and that’s enough to stop projects dead in their tracks.
Our iron ore project most likely won’t generate such community concern. AKO community impacts likely to be limited to dust and road traffic.
