AKO are also capable of producing 71% product compared to 70% for HIO, which I would assume translates to a more desirable (and valuable) product.
For all intents and purposes, let's run with 70%.
Whilst it can't be denied that HIO have high grade ore with a ~70% concentrate product at 40 microns, AKO are able to product at or near that with 75 micron grind.
As per the post above, HIO also have a recovery rate of 13% VS ~31% for AKO.
To correct above, for AKO it equates to about 145mt of concentrate for the whole of Bekisopa VS 400mt for HIO, and not 196mt as per the post above.
Paul has said that mining iron ore is as much a logistics challenge as any other type of challenge, and HIO need to move AND process AND transport almost 2.4X (and not 3X as described above) the material as AKO to produce 1 tonne of product.
AKO has completed about 6000m of drilling so far.
I have no idea in relation to how many holes and thousands of meters of drilling HIO have completed, but it is going to be A LOT as I heard they had 3 drilling teams on the resource.
AKO also have the "South West tenements" which are about 10kms away. Hopefully we can get some EM survey work done, as well as a couple of drill holes to see how much what the ore is like (hopefully consistent), and get a feel for how big the resource is.
