Albanese grab on your investment value

Only just fathomed this take on that 3mill of your super. They the libs ,gave you a 1.8 mill cap on your rollover amount into pension phase all then tax free. The rest remains in a super accumulation state with a 15 % tax on any earnings. But now labour say they intend to remove any of the rest that exceeds the next 1.2mill out of your super into a full tax grab plus hit you with a capital gains tax in the move. I am not sure how they value that amount, is it on the amount you spent buying your investment originally or valued on the market value at the present time? They see a 2 trill amount in Aust super and are going for it. Anyone else care to comment. I only say this because it will have an enormous effect on some who have spent many years investing and find a decent stock that will run into good returns only to be now fleeced by Trott and his mates. Reminds me of their other attempt when trying to win government to can the franking credits which backfired on them. Yes the super rich have enough and don’t need to scrimp on these benefits but like the franking credits they found there were quite a lot of pensioners locked in on these benefits also to give themselves that bit extra.
