Life is much simpler not hitching my pony to a political stable StR . I'm friendly with a few of the pollies on the spectrum and rather pleased my ego can dine on a diet of besting them in the superior stakes.
Oz politics is hogtied by compliance to public service rules; politicians compromised by their predecessors' stupidty in confusing accountability with the broader public good. True leaders get the trophies for success and carry the spittoon for the team's failures; our leaders blame anyone but themselves and their advisors for poor outcomes..... toxic personal responsibility in parliaments that hampers growth.
