Germany car makers are some of the strongest in the world -

there - Unions are not only STRONG. They sit on the boards - where by law 50% of boards must be worker representatives.

So, let's stop your shit - it's NOT unions that are the problem in Australia

it might be Australians - it might be Australian unions - but, it is NOT unions as a rule

German business owners highly value their board worker members - and would not change it at all - because it's powered their industrial base for many decades.

Perhaps if Australia was grown up and wore big boys pants - it would develop to such a level -------------- BUT - business in Australia won't allow that

Unions in Germany are heavily represented in company boards. German law requires that large corporations have employee representation on their supervisory boards, with employees accounting for half of the supervisory board in many companies with over 2,000 employees

. This system of board-level representation was introduced in 1951 to bring powerful industries under democratic control and has been a longstanding practice in Germany

. Additionally, the German Confederation of Trade Unions (DGB) is a significant player in the German economy, covering various sectors and representing millions of workers

. The influence of trade unions in Germany extends beyond collective bargaining to include political involvement in social, economic, and labor market policies
