80-90% of users are using their bank cards not credit cards to pay for Afterpay purchases. I think this is very significant and shows how Afterpay is seen as an alternative to credit.
I see them in the future building on the Afterpay app to have a savings function and increase the stickiness of customers and loyalty. For example, within the Touch group they have an app called Change Up that allows customers to receive change electronically, rather than carry around pieces of metal in their pockets.
Their ability to innovate and provide useful tools to their 1m users is the true future of this company. And having Nick Molnar, the visionary behind Afterpay will be the key to innovation and building this exciting future.
They are also talking internally about going from millennials to mainstream. I think this will happen and we are only at the start of the growth phase
