Tough one to judge the whole "mental illness" deal. IMO if you have a physical mental condition fair enough but if you were just feeling "crazy and out of control" due to mental issues on any given day no excuse in my books.
Hope the flinders st guy who ran a heap over doesn't get his mental plea due to being on an ice bender...
