MELBOURNE, March 3 (Reuters) - Asciano Group Ltd, Australia's top ports and rail operator, said it was not aware of any reason for a 42 percent jump in its share price on Tuesday.
'The company is not aware of any reason for the recent increase in Asciano's share price. We have made full disclosure in our half year results last week and we are in complete compliance with the listing rules,' Asciano's spokeswoman, Marie Festa, said in an email. Asciano's shares closed up 42 percent at A$0.63
It said last week it expected to name a preferred partner soon for its Pacific National (other-otc: PCNC.PK - news - people ) coal transport business.
