The numbers don't lie. Danny Boy loved his branch stacking numbers knowing full well if he had the right numbers his future wasassured.

Well the future of Victoria is so far from not being assured it aint funny anymore. The economic numbers for Victoria continue to deteriorate and now Victoria has been ranked as the worst performing state and ranked the worst state for Tax Burden, Debt Burden and Energy Costs. In fact Victoria ranked either last or second last on 7 out of 10 measures.

So I say to Andrews this is on your head, on your watch over 10 years you have crippled the state and stiffled business. And as was recently reported Victoria was the only state to have a net loss of business where closures far outnumbered new ventures.

And the guilty trio of Andrews Pallas and Allan have financial disaster on their hands.

Time for guilty senior Labor ministers to leave the parliament especiallt=y Pallas and Allan.

See report in the Herald Sun today.

Victoria has taken the wooden spoon on a national economic scorecard, with the state ranking the worst for tax burden, debt burden and energy costs.

A new Institute of Public Affairs report compares the economic performance of each state across 10 key performance indicators.

Victoria ranked the worst performing state in the nation, coming in last or second last in seven of the 10 measures.
Western Australia was the top performing state, with the highest wage growth, lowest tax burden and lowest energy price growth.

Research Fellow at the Institute of Public Affairs Lachlan Clark said the data shed light on why Victorians families were doing it tough, labelling the state “an economic basket case”.
The performance measures are based on the latest data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Core Logic.

Shadow Treasurer Brad Rowswell said in the last 10 years Victorians have been “slugged with 53 new or increased taxes to pay for Victorian Labor’s record-breaking state debt”.

“As a result, there is less money to fund critical services like hospitals, schools and police,” he said.

Treasurer Tim Pallas, however, said the Victorian economy was “growing faster than NSW, QLD, WA and Tasmania, and recent Deloitte Access Economics data forecasting Victoria will lead every state in economic growth over the next five years”.
