Having a 25% shareholding would normally entitle u to a seat on the board as you would most likely be the major shareholder. but not so in this case, where Alice and only Alice with 52% calls the shots and ECE will not get a director on the board unless Alice wishes them too. The existing board will nominated for election and will be elected by Alice and the status quo will remain the same. When I phoned the company I was assured that none of these antics will delay progress, it's more of an annoyance than anything. Speaking of progress, apparently the DA has been drafted and is sitting on a government beuracrats desk awaiting a signature. Once this is signed and the terms of the DA have been agreed upon, then the banks will have a bit of certainty around tax and royalty rates, which they need before providing project finance.
