If we are being told that 4DS reram is sensitive to temperature, what areas does that preclude us from targetting?
I thought maybe Sram is a conceivable target, but now not so sure.
I the aim of scaling down to 20nm is sound.
This will compliment what is likely to happen with true non-volatile memory which is likely to replace flash memory which can not scale down this far.
There are emerging Reram memories which are being commercialised to replace Flash longer term eg TSMC,WB
They are rad hard, can operate at temps of 150 degrees, faster, higher endurance, cheaper than Flash and can already scale to 20nm and below
So 4DS with its speed and endurance has to find that spot away from the non volatile side of memory
With AI a huge slice of the market will still be NVM
4DS has no choice but to what see it can produce at 20nm as the NVM side of the fence is heading that way with new and emerging technology
