Time will tell. However, I think we all feel that multiple ‘good news’ announcements are to come as a result of today’s news. There have been so many hints leading up to this point, including the following statement from Mr Albanese:

‘The global race for new jobs and new opportunities is on. Our government wants Australia to be in it to win it,”

Throughout the world, there is fierce competition for capital, and the Australian Government is in a race. It will use our robust economic standing and affluence to take full advantage of this exceptional opportunity. It has made no secret about 'intervening' in this way (the world is different now asteroider). Persuading global players to continue processing and producing high value goods in Australia is going to happen whether we like it or not. And when the ’Future Made in Australia Act’ which will be fully unveiled in the May Budget, it may also contain some additional surprises.

Australia’s great advantage is that we are geopolitically solving supply-chain problems by offering stability of supply. It's difficult to argue against RNU being the only advanced shovel-ready option for graphite mined material and a PSG solution to solve issues that other nations are unable to address. So now that it looks like the Siviour Project is being effectively underwritten by our government. However, will it have a cascading effect on foreign anode players to sign on the dotted line?

Given our wealth and available resources, we should take advantage of this worldwide trend to switch from fossil fuels to metals for our energy needs.RNU is a company on the make. Not only are we a Tier 1 low quartile resource situated in an ESG-strong mining jurisdiction, we also offer the supply chain diversification and reliance in a post CV19 geopolitical environment.

DC presenting in Seoul next week for a major global battery conference may provide another opportunity for Australia to shine.
