I felt reasonably positive after listening to the AGM recording. There was clearly some frustration regarding delays and lack of forward timings, which is understandable.
There was also confusion over Gen 1 vs Gen 2. I would really prefer that they renamed them to target different markets. Gen 2 strongly implies that Gen1 is out of date and no longer attractive. I know that’s not the case.
I’d really like to see forum discussions move on to topics like competitive positioning. Clearly there are other companies doing work on MEMS speakers. So, what makes AKP so confident that they are so much better?
Eg. There was mention of “the holy grail” in the audio industry for low frequency sound quality.
How real is that differentiator? Does anyone know of other MEMS competitors on that capability?
