There are hundreds, likely thousands, of competent people for every position known. You can have a "diversity hire" and still end up with a good hire.

Looking at it simply, women and men are about a 50/50 split. Law of averages dictates that competence for any occupation would be equally split. However, men have historically dominated.

To argue men have been or just are more competent is a fantasy. So is arguing any hire that doesn’t reflect historical trends is merely to satisfy 'woke ideology'.

So in summary, what you are arguing for is the right to discriminate against some groups of people, because you think you can correct for past discrimination.

Which is pure evil.
