You do realise that the 3DP data isn't just a 2D photo overlaid onto a 3D structure? That's what Google do, and it's far from 'mastered' lol.
3DP take precision data points measured with laser equipment used by surveyors, store the data in the cloud and use their proprietary algorithm to stream the data to any device via a browser.
3DP is the Large Hadron Collider of 3D mapping, whilst Google Maps is a kid in a schoolyard banging two rocks together, hoping to split atoms.
