From mid 2009 till 2018 WA is going to experience domestic gas shortfalls. Nexus could be primed to take advantage of this problem by selling LNG from Crux, Echuca Shoals, ACP 41, etc into the local gas market. WA consumers are going to have to bite the bullet by then and accept higher prices for gas supplies. Woodside Petroleum are having problems with their upgrades to the domestic processing plant in Karratha which supplies about 70% of WA gas.
