BALDTE: TUA: Change of year end to 31 March
On Friday 31 October, Dorchester Turners Ltd issued a compulsory acquisition
notice for all the remaining shares in the Company. The shares are scheduled
for acquisition by 1 December 2014.
Dorchester Turners Ltd is a member of the Dorchester Pacific group which has
a balance date of 31 March, while the Company has a balance date of 31
December. The Financial Reporting Act (1993) requires that non-issuer
subsidiaries have the same balance date as the parent company unless the
board's opinion is that there are good reasons against it. Aligning balance
dates in a group minimises audit and other compliance costs.
Accordingly, the directors of the Company have resolved to change its balance
date to 31 March, and therefore the balance date for the current year will be
31 March 2015.
