They're interesting exercises to give a range of possible outcomes that could eventuate under the right, or wrong conditions (anything is possible with MMT)

However, have a look at the MYL presentations from the previous 2 years. And in particular the "starter pit". It keeps getting bigger and bigger with each round of assay results

Until we get the final version of what they want to build, we're always slightly in the dark trying to model output, let alone prices and financing. But considering China considers all the savings of Chinese nationals, virtually state property to be channeled through state banks for national purposes (who cares if the money ever gets repaid), it really could be in the realm of possibility many of the concepts you purported.
