Of course the market will react.
Based on my modelling, should STAM and Sandon turn Karoon into another Horizon oil ie. return all free cash flow to shareholders, then shareholders will receive the current share price back in 4 years. Then for the next 15 years there will be a steady but declining stream of dividends which will total circa $5/s.
The IRR I get under this scenario is ~25%.
