Joe, can you take another look at your figures as I think that you calculated the value column rather than the volume column.
My figures came out to the following:
- As at 2/3/17, UBS held 19,034,610 shares of which 10,511,323 were beneficially held. The remainder, being 8,523,287 represented shares that they presently control the power of disposal over (ie: short held). Measured in context, UBS held (as at 2/3) 8.5M out of the 23.5M short positions listed as o/s on Shortman.
- Since 16/2, UBS has bought 21,379,104 shares in SGH, but sold 18,744,397, for a net purchase of 2,634,707 shares.
- More significantly, during last week, UBS acquired the following shares in SGH:
Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 Column 4 Column 5 0 Date Buy Sell Net Net Bought 1 27/2 1,034,064 903,936 130,218 130,218 2 28/2 1,154,859 1,424,173 (269,314) (139,096) 3 1/3 6,274,602 5,976,858 297,744 158,648 4 2/3 10,281,030 7,379,918 2,901,112 3,059,760
