    Yes,

I'll explain how RC works with a geo manning the rig.

As the chips come up the drill string they come through a cyclone that splits the sample between a large bag and smaller bags that get sent to the lab. The offsider will then "spear" sample out of the big bag representing a single meter of drilling and throw it into a sieve. That sieve then goes into a water filled bucket to keep only the coarse material and wash it. It is then passed to the geo who logs the chips by identifying what the rock type is, any evidence of sulphide or secondary oxidized metallic minerals and alteration minerals.

In terms of this drill program the possible causes of the EM anomaly can be( from best to worse) Massive Ni/Cu sulphide, Fe sulphide associated with a Gold system, Massive Fe sulphide with some Ni and Cu sulphide, Barren Fe sulphide, , Graphite. Nothing in any of the announcements released has thus far been diagnostic of success IMHO.

In terms of what the geo would know right now it would be that a) they have or have not intersected the conductor, b) what mineral is responsible for the high conductance c) what the host rock is.

In terms of the options presented above the geo would have a pretty good idea of success or not but as it was stated above I don't think RTX would let some Micky Mouse junior report on something they are paying for without assays. So at the moment we have Schrödinger's orebody where the discovery has and has not been made at the same time.

A final note on the DHEM that will happen after the drilling. There is a hierarchy in EM in terms of how well it can zero in on a location of a conductor.

First one flies Airborne EM and then normally Moving Loop ground EM is deployed to model the plates and work out the dimension and position of the conductors. If you want to be even more certain you then do Fixed Loop EM as Mark Bennet did at Nova. After you drill you line the hole with PVC casing (C&*T of a job) ready for a wireline DHEM contractor to come measure the hole. The final step is to confirm that you have a) hit the conductor, b) at the point of greatest conductance and c) there are no other conductors around.

Here RTX and SLZ have skipped a bunch of steps because the conductor looks so big. One of the possible (low probability) outcomes is that they do not intersect the conductor at all because of the positioning of the holes and the conductor, or its depth etc etc. In this case the DHEM will tell them exactly where the conductor sits.

All IMHO, DYOR, not financial advice etc etc.
