I'm a realist and have a reasonable grasp on the scenarios. Bottom line for me is MLM have the logistics covered and DRX haven't. If they had I'd be a shareholder here.
I'm not sure how you rationalise your "strength in numbers" mantra when Sibelco/Ilwhella have similar percentages in both companys (close to 50% combined both before and after if the takeover succeeds). Additionally Sibelco are a JV partner so no guesses what will ultimately be the outcome for all smaller Diatreme shareholders.
The answer is to pay the $70mill approx the Independent Expert has valued Metallica at and we can all hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Surely this is nothing to Sibelco given the prize at stake.
