To this day that action by NC has created a huge amount of hostility from Canada & US towards Lynas, do as I have done, go speak to some of those involved and ask their opinion of NC.

However, armed with that inside knowledge of China's ambitions NC returned to Oz and managed to buy Mt Weld CLD from Anaconda, then consolidate the other leases, including Swan phosphate from Wesfarmers, that was his greatest achievement IMO, then probably raising $450M ~2008.

Numerous ugly twists & turns of NC's making (RE is a tough business) to the point the LAMP was inoperable until AL took the executive role mid 2014, and finally achieved on-spec steady state 12 months later.

While NC was brilliant securing MtW, raising capital, negotiating contracts (NOT the content), many of his actions were deplorable (i.e. Forge), some had a huge negative impact on the business and took years to work off (reagents - Malaysia), his execution was appalling.

NTU & NC are a good match.

@ausheds have read your posts with interest and you seem to have a deep knowledge of the sector and its participants. NC/NTU would not seem to rate highly! With your past experience and knowledge, would appreciate your opinion.

The movt and action in the share price seems to contradict a lot of the negativity. Am a trader here, so that's all I follow, with just a cursory nod to the fundies. Tracking the price action indicates an obvious disparity.

Why would NC get involved here if there was no advantage for him? Could there be some fundamental event on the horizon that motivates him? Does he know something we all dont? Is there some missing info link that is holding the price up? Or is it all just sector/mkt sentiment and traders supporting the price?
