Jimmy started and is head of a financial services company. I would be surprised if his due diligence was in error and he paid too much for any acquisition.
As for buying a company using shares as part payment. The purchased subsidiary has to prove their books were in order with actual income before final payment in shares is made. It then becomes part of the purchase price.
A very good practice IMO.
