Just a quick thought about PET as a company and the products they sold....

Both products are supposedly good at sucking phosphates out of the water column (I don't know if that is actually true or not), but regardless of the efficacy of phosphorus removal, it is a really poor solution to phosphorus removal. There is no way to then reclaim the phosphorus (unless you are then going to dredge the bottom of every lake and river you put it in. Phosphorus is a finite element, and absolutely necessary for life on this planet. Humans are actually running out of hard rock phosphate (used as fertilizer). So to lock it up at the bottom of lakes and rivers (if it actually does work) is a really bad idea.
