Two different things being conflated here.

1. During the drilling process, drilling mud was used to balance bore pressure. Once drilling is finished, the bore is flushed of that mud and the mud is disposed. Super normal drilling practice. ASN stated that some brine from the formation got into the drilling mud, which they were able to separate from the mud once removed at surface. The purpose of telling us this is just to confirm that brine was encountered (very positive info). They cannot test and sample for brine properly until the bore is flushed of the drilling mud.

2. The HC poster Knox has tried to introduce this idea of "brine mud/sludge". He has stated that the company make reference to such in the ANN, yet there is no mention of such words in the ANNs. The language he has used accuses the company of some sort cover up or non-disclosure. These are completely false statements that could only be for the purpose to trying to seed doubt.

It is true that high TSS (total suspended solids) could potentially clog resins and reduce resin efficiency. HOWEVER, anyone who has followed ASN through their several drills knows that the Paradox brines are clear with very low TSS. The only solids visible in the multiple photos and videos provided by the company, from all past drilling, are dissolved minerals dropping out of solution due to the pressure drop from formation pressure to atmospheric pressure (an indicator of its supersaturated nature). The numbers Knox spins are completely BS. 4-5% TSS is VERY high and is completely out of step with all the Paradox brine examples the coy has shown us to-date.

Ignore the false / misleading / confusing things said by nefarious players. Let the drillers do their work; the company will provide info on brine flow, pressure, composition in due course.
