Prof. Whitt, in video above, speaking on cobalt, nickel, graphite & lithium supply for next gen. NMC Li-B cells in Oct 2017:
"These are the materials of interest for the supply chain, and I should emphasize despite what you read in the literature, the next generation and today's generation are going to be NMC based"

Not a ringing endorsement for the bone battery, though surprised no mention at all.

In addition to CATL's 300 wh/Kg NMC 811 energy ambitions, LG Chem & SK Innovation also moving into NMC 811 production.

Dec 2017 - SK innovation to start producing NMC 811 battery cells soon
