Disappointing news but some disruptions were to be expected.
Lets put it in perspective. A 10 - 15% cut to Mar quarter production will only be a maximum miss of 35,000 ounces or 3% of full year production.
Of course, it’s not necessarily lost as could be caught up later in year and the gold price appreciation has more than offset any temporary ‘loss’ of production.
By deferring their hedges they can also sell full production at higher prices also making up difference.
Hopefully market smart enough to figure this out
