Agreed on the lithium front- when the oil companies get the extraction from hydrocarbons down pat, ( oil & it’s friends deep in the ground ), there will be a big shock to a lot of the rock etc producers- make no mistake, they are working towards that end right now and have been for some time now.
RIO has talked about getting into battery materials but seems a bit gun shy on lithium now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re looking at buying in to new nickel deposits with cobalt snuggled in next to them.

The oil majors aren’t far off from that lithium extraction from goodness knows how many existing wells so again, look for a big shift in that scene.. most current lithium producers talk 100’s of millions and sometimes a billion dollars here and there- just wait till the industry with a few trillion, a lot more extraction experience in many more types of terrain and environment, global infrastructure & of course pull with governments starts producing lithium- when existing wells can start taking out some lithium as a by product.
Hooooly crap- there are literally 1,000’s of wells already producing with who knows how many already pulling lithium up & it’s just been piling up in their tailings ponds etc for around a century....

The doors will be jammed full of people, ( capital ), moving to nickel, cobalt & other materials.
